In Eternal Gratitude to my Gurus
~ Om Guruve Namah ~
With folded hands and a heart steeped in reverence, I offer my deepest gratitude
to all my Gurus, those I have been blessed to meet in this life and those whose
guiding presence has accompanied me from lives past. The sacred light of Vedic
Jyotish is not merely a body of knowledge; it is a living current of divine wisdom,
passed down through the unbroken chain of Guru - Shishya Parampara. To be
touched by it is to be transformed forever.
I bow first to the invisible line of teachers from lifetimes gone by, who have
sown in my soul the seeds of this Vidya. Though my mortal mind may not recall
their names or forms, my spirit recognises their touch in the inexplicable pull I
have always felt towards the stars, the scriptures, and the silent truths hidden in
planetary motions. Their blessings have shaped my destiny and drawn me once
more to the feet of the wise.
In this lifetime, I was graced with the guidance of my revered Uncle Ji, Shri Arun
Jaiswal, who became my Guru in 2007. His teaching was more than instruction;
it was a transmission of spirit. He held up the mirror of Jyotish not only to the
skies but to the soul, showing me that this science is not about prediction alone,
but about alignment with cosmic order (Ṛta). Though he left this mortal plane
in 2021, his words, discipline, and quiet strength remain etched in my heart,
guiding my steps whenever I falter.
Today, I continue my journey under the compassionate guidance of my current
Guru, whose name I choose to keep veiled in honour of the sacred privacy of our
bond. To walk this path under their instruction is to learn not only the sutras and
shlokas, but also the humility, patience, and surrender that make true learning
possible. Each lesson is a lamp, each correction a blessing, and each silence a
doorway to deeper insight.
To all my Gurus, seen and unseen, named and unnamed - I offer my unending
pranams. This Vidya is your gift to me, and my practice of it is my offering back
to you. May I always remain worthy of your trust and blessings. May the light
you have lit within me never be dimmed, and may it illuminate the lives of those
who seek its warmth.
