Ketu transit to Virgo

Why is it one of the most important transits? Let’s look at some important facts!

Sorry, it’s going to be a long article so have your favourite drink at your desk and enjoy!

Why 6th house is Prarabdha and what does it mean?

1. As we know, the 5th house is Purya Punya and the 9th is the higher plane of the 5th house (Bhawat Bhawam 5th from 5th). Now 9th from Lagna is the Sanchit Punya of Yours (Physical self, is there any other self? Think!!!).

2. 9th from any house is Sanchit Punya of that house (Fruits stored from past lives). 6th is 9th from 10th house so it’s Sanchit Punya of 10th house (This life Karma house).

Prarabdha means karma stored based on your recent past life (It’s part of Sanchit karma), which one will experience in this life.

Let’s understand Virgo

1. Virgo, An Artha house, dual sign, owned by Mercury which gets exalted here but one of our gurus (Venus) gets debilitated (our hero is happy!).

2. Virgo is well known for Loans, Disease, Enemies, Crop area, Town,  shrink, back, nerve etc. Work type – Accounting, Auditing, retail shop, relationship – Mother’s younger brother, Spouse’s grandmother, etc. then it also shows younger brother’s house, Mother’s hand skills, Spouse’s expenses, father’s job/karma, Marka Sthana for first child as well as grandmother, loss of marriage life and many more things.

Now, let’s ask ourselves, who is Ketu?

1. Ketu is a detachment, attachment, it also represents a flag, rope, net, thread, narrow lane, etc.

How to interpret the result?

Again we are going to check this transit from Arudha Lagna (Please refer to my Rahu’s transit post)- If Rahu creates the Maya the Ketu brings that down. From AL you will get a real sense of what part of your life is getting rid of Maya.

1. Check if any of the Charkarka are in trine (e.g. Atmakarka – Major Karma will get activated, Amatyakarka – Significant career change, Gyatikaraka- Major loss or disease).

2. Check if any Raj-Yoga-forming planets are falling in the trine to Ketu – A sudden rise can be expected (Flag in the sky), the opposite can happen when Bad-Yoga-forming planets are in the trine.

**Note: Also consider which Arudha Pada is falling in Virgo, Taurus and Capricorn. It will help you know the events will be related to which part of your life (Self, Finance, Parents, Children, Marriage, etc).

Example1: If Ketu transiting through the 5th house of your horoscope and you are thinking that event will be related to Son, Entertainment, Father, Bhagya or Yourself (naming a few from trine, there could be many more) but

if your Arudha Lagna falls into the 7th house then ketu transit is in the 11th from Arudha and it’s about your Source of income/elder sibling, Father’s younger brother. If Saturn is trine to it in Natal/Progressed or transit then you can expect a sudden fall in your income and also it’s 6th from 6th so you might get back pain-related issues. Check A11 & A6 also for the type of event confirmation.

Just remember (Virgo-related events will transform you in this transit)

Example2. Same chart, If your DK (Dharakarak) is in Taurus and Mercury is in Capricorn.

1. If you have a Ke+Me association in your chart, it gives too many friends (opposite sex) – chances of getting more friends are high in this transit, But

2. If you have marriage yoga and the time has come as per the chart (look at UL)

Then the event will change like Capricorn is a barren land so all of sudden your all-girlfriends (for a male) might vanish from your life and due to Ketu trine to Taurus where DK is placed, you will get married.

Topic for future – We can identify the Jeeva and Sharira for the house from which any planet is transiting then analyze the transit planet’s relationship with Jeeva and Sharira, it will help us know the effect in a better way.

Some of you were interested in knowing how Nakshatra plays a role in transit.

Is Jataka going to have the same experience for 18 months? 

No? So, what he/she will experience?

Let’s understand it – a bit complex but will try my best to make it simple (My Lord Shiva, please help me explain it better!)

Let’s take an example of a Jataka with Ashlesha Moon

Oh! First, we need to come up with nakshatra division in Jataka’s chart

As we know the nakshatras are divided into 3 parts

Janma Nakshatra: First 9 Nakshatras: Ashlesha to Anuradha

Anujanma Nakshatra: 10 to 18th Nakshatra: Jyeshtha to Uttara Bhadrapada

Trijanma Nakshatra: 19-27th Nakshatra: Revati to Pusya

Ketu transiting Virgo for 18 months but the time spent in each nakshatra will be different

let’s calculate Ketu’s time duration in Chitra for its transit

Virgo has 3 padas of U. Phalguni, 4 padas of Hasta & 2 Padas of Chitra

So, Ketu’s transit time in different nakshatra is like this

9 Padas – 18 months  1 pada = 2 month

Ketu in Chitra: 4 months

Ketu in Hasta: 8 months

Ketu in U. Phalguni: 6 months

In transit, Ketu will be in Virgo and trine to Taurus & Capricorn

I am going to focus on just Ketu transit through Chitra Nakshatra, you can do the same for rest of the Nakshatras

This transit duration (4 months – 120 days should be divided into 3 parts, 40 days each)

Result/events will follow this sequence – Movable, Dual & Fixed sign in order

Capricorn: Movable Sign – 1st 40 days

Virgo:  Dual Sign - 2nd 40 days

Taurus: Fixed Sign – 3rd 40 days

Let's add the Nakshatra category to it based on Ashlesha Moon

Capricorn: Movable Sign – 1st 40 days - Anujanma Nakshatra (Future) – Dhanishta 2 Padas

Virgo:  Dual Sign - 2nd 40 days - Janma Nakshatra (Present) – Chitra 2 Padas

Taurus: Fixed Sign – 3rd 40 days - Trijanma Nakshatra (Past) - Mrigshira 2 Padas

How to analyze the result: 

1. Referring to the above it’s very clear that Jataka is going to experience matters related to Capricorn in the first 40 days which is in Anujanma Nakshatra category (Future) so whatever you do in that period is the seed for the future. E.g. you chant the Isht Devta mantra 1,08,000 times then the fruit of this mantra chanting will come in future (When? Question for you all, think, think, think).

2. The next 40 days are Virgo-related matters and as it shows it belongs to Janma Nakshatra (present) so your act will define the results and you will have the opportunity to get the results that you are looking for (based on your hard work).

3. The last 40 days will be Taurus-related matters and it belong to Trijanma Nakshatra (Past) so Jataka will not have much control over the results and remedies will not help the Jataka.

Similarly, you can calculate and see the result of rest two Nakshatra.

Now, let’s analyze a chart.

Virgo: Dual Sign - 2nd 40days – Janma Nakshatra (Present)

Here the nakshatra is – Chitra (Sorry I will not get into Padas [Dharma, Artha, Kama, Moksha & Gunas], else it will be a too long post -  it’s already too long)

Let’s understand Chitra first…

Ruling planet: Mars, Motivation: Kama (Desire), Orientation: Looking Forward (buying a car, manufacturing, sowing a seed, etc.), Body part: Forehead & Neck, Element: Agni, Direction: West, Deity: Tvashtar (Cosmic Architect), Nature: Deva, Temperament: gentle, Symbol: Pearl, Animal: Female Tiger

Chitra: A beautiful picture – someone would have imagined it and then painted it, what does it mean, Chitra people are good at imagination (visionary people) or we can say they understand complex things through their inner self and are also good at creation.

But the problem (which might occur at the time of Ketu transit) is a painter never prepares himself/herself before starting the painting, so the chances of failing are also higher, especially if you moon is afflicted by Rahu/Saturn. This transit will propel you to start something new (Business, Job, even relationship if any such planet is associated with it) and that’s where you need to analyze whether you have done enough preparation for that or not.

Note: if you are looking for a new job, consider a position where you get the opportunity to see the bigger picture then plan & execute.

I can go on because there are many things related to nakshatra but let me tell you one or two remedies which will help you in this transit (Ketu in Chitra)

Rajeev this is Prarabdha's house, as you mentioned above, we need to take the fruits as is, then how will remedies work?

Wait, wait, Let’s read the very important point before remedy!

How contradictory it is that at the sign level, Virgo represents Prarbdha (We must take the fruit of past life, as we say we can’t modify) whereas for this Jataka, Chitra (Virgo) belongs to Janma Nakshatra (Present) has an opportunity to work/act and get the desired fruits.

Here is the reference which will help you understand.

John (character) murdered someone, and he is in Jail (Life) with a lifetime imprisonment (transit’s specific period showing Prarabdha) but as we all know the government (Nature) gives you an opportunity to get released early based on your karma/behaviour in jail.

It suggests that in this kind of complex time, God has allowed you to modify the fruits of the past based on your present karma/remedies.

How beautiful it is that God has given us every possible opportunity to keep correcting ourselves until we get Moksha. Thank you Lord Shiva!

Remedies (it will help you in the matter of Chitra placement in your chart) Like, if you are Aquarius Lagna, Virgo is in 8th house which is 6th from 3rd and as I said, you might plan to take a loan for the new initiative. Ketu transiting here can give you sudden events like you lose all your money and that might lead to some kind of transformation within you. So, doing proper documentation & remedies will help you evaluate your decision better.

1. Worship Maa Durga or wear 3 Mukhi Rudraksha

2. Donate painting materials to youngsters or gift a beautiful painting to children.

3. Document everything before starting anything new (Keep a notepad & pen with you)

4. Clean your vehicle every Tuesday

Hard to stop myself, but let me mention one or two more points before, I take a pause.

1. We need to remember that Ketu brings us to reality and gives us the things which can lead to those with whom our karma is left. If you start a Job or Business or relationship in above mentioned period, it can be very Karmik and short-lived just to burn Karma, pending from past life.

2. For example, If it is for Pisces Lagna and you are in a relationship, all of a sudden you might realise that this is not the partner that you thought of or imagined long back so you try finding new (start painting again) – It shows karma with that partner has been ended and Ketu will connect with someone you need to burn Karma or you lose that partner & don’t find the new one (done with relationship).

3. For the above point, if you need to identify whether you will get a new partner or not, look at Jupiter's Progression and relationship with natal Venus/Mars (in the female chart) and Mercury's association with Ketu.

“Don’t start painting your specific area of life (Virgo in your chart) all of a sudden, let the God Vishwakarma craft it for us”

Nakshatras are associated with the Moon (ruler of mind and good at carrying karma). So, through Nakshatras, you can understand how your mind will guide/play with you in decision-making in certain transit. But in the Trijanma period, you won’t be able to get how/why certain thoughts came to your mind (don’t be surprised, it is you/your karma from past lives guiding you). Reaching out to your guru for support is the best way to handle that period (look at Jeeva's position in your chart and figure out a guru or relative as a guru who can guide you).
