Saturn (The karma karaka):

Saturn is an embodiment concept of Lord Shiva, governs Karma, is an ambassador, and is free from desire. Owner of Capricorn (10th) & Co-owner of Aquarius (11th), exalted in Libra, Mooltrikona – Aquarius & Debilitated in Aries.

Elder Brother, work, profession, gloomy, slum, slow, husband’s brother, uncle, co-worker, blue colour, west direction, night, challenges, consistency, isolation, separation, pessimism, suffering, realism, responsibility, orthodox, conservative, typhoid, dining hall, store room, sammi tree, foreign language, black colour flowers, hospital, dogs, buffaloes, chin, middle finger, buttocks, knees, foreleg, intestine till anus, digestive system, arthritis, winter season (cold), service person, mining,  Death (end of karma).

Let’s try to understand his Drishti (aspects)

1. 3rd Aspect – Wherever Saturn’s 3rd aspect falls, Jataka will have a sense of insecurity related to that house. Look at your 3rd from your Saturn and you will realise that you are always concerned about that house-related matters.

2. 7th Aspect – The most important aspect as it’s all about punishment (any bad deed related to Saturn transit house, you can understand the punishment from the 7th house from it. E.g. Saturn in 10th (Capricorn) – any bad deed at the job – domestic life will be disturbed (4th house).

3. 10th Aspect: Saturn is the owner of the 10th house and 10th from 10th is the higher plane of Karma (Bhawat Bhawan) so Saturn would expect you to work harder there and be more gentle and honest toward that house-related matters.

Few rules to analyse Saturn’s transit

1. Impacted houses due to this transit – Aquarius (transiting), Capricorn (owns), Aries (3rd aspect), Gemini (part of trine 75% aspect), Leo (7th aspect), Libra (part of trine 75% aspect), Scorpio (10th aspect) & then the house occupied by Saturn in your chart other than the listed above. You can see that just to understand one transit, we need to focus on 7/8 houses + the natal position of planets + other planets’ transit. That’s the reason I don’t do Astro consultation because to justify the consultation, I need to spend a or two on that chart and I don’t have time. I will start paid consultation from 14th Jan 2024 (one chart per day).

2. Aquarius is 2nd from Capricorn so Capri is a support system for Aqua (Karma supports your gains, karma -> gains). Whichever house Capricorn falls in your chart-  that’s the house you need to work to get the fruits of Aquarius.

3. Saturn karaka of 8th house – house of pain/death – pain to You, death of yours (you/yours is Lagna) – Rule – 8th from whichever house (Cancer) Saturn is transiting, one can get worst experience related to that house until house lord is friendly of Saturn. The same can be experienced for planets sitting in that house (look at karakas related to it)

4. Saturn gives good in Upchaya houses (3, 6, 10, 11) – A lot of goodness in this transit.

5. While analysing any house or karaka, consider Badhkesh as Badhkesh can increase the bad result (11th from Movable Sign, 9th from Fixed Sign & 7th from Dual Sign). E.g. Gemini Lagna – Mother is not well (6th from 4th is active -Aquarius,  8th from 4th is active – Aries & if she is in hospital then 12th  from 4th is active that is Leo. House of the mother is Virgo & Badhaka house for Virgo is Sagittarius. Badhkesh is Ju. Also, Ju is 6th lord. Ju is the one who can create more danger to her life if making any connection with Marka houses than any other planet (right now it’s retro too). Ju is also 4th lord from mother’s house so it won’t easily allow her to come back home from the hospital. If MK/Venus/Mars/A2/A3/A7/A8 is in the house where the Ju is then take it seriously.

There are many rules in the classics, I think you all must have read it.

Note: Natal & other transiting planets will have a major impact on the results of Saturn's transit. Also, look at Saturn's natal position and its dispositor.

E.g. If Natal Jupiter aspects transiting Saturn then one can get Job/Promotion (+ sun/Ke aspect). Natal Venus aspect Saturn then marriage can happen (yoga should be there) – Natal Mars aspect Saturn – Fight with brother (negative), purchase of land (positive). Kindly consider Desh, kaal and Patra while predicting.

How do we interpret the result?

We will check this transit from Moon Sign (Why? – Any Karma starts from your mind, think – act) but will also see the Arudha Padas connection to Saturn and associated houses. For Job/Profession, I would recommend checking from Karma Lagna.

1. Check if any of the Charkarka are in Aquarius or associated houses (e.g. Atmakarka – Major Karma will get activated, Amatyakarka – Significant career change, Dharakarak – Spouse-related events, Ganatikaraka- Major loss or disease).

2. Check if any Raj-Yoga-forming planets are falling in the trine to Saturn – A sudden rise can be expected (For Taurus Lagna, if natal Venus is in Gemini, you are going to experience sudden gains from family/ancestral property (if mars gets involved)) or you will join family business in this period, the opposite can happen when Bad-Yoga-forming planets are in the trine.

3. If transiting Saturn is 6th from your karma lagna, you will defeat your competitor at the workplace and get promoted (Ju & Su should form some connection – responsibility + name and fame)

Example1: In a male chart, If Saturn transits through the 7th house of your horoscope and is aspected by natal Venus and Jupiter and also A9 is connected, you are thinking that event will be related to your spouse, her Bhagya will rise, good for wealth, yes that might happen but if A3 and A9 are connected with 7th house and Rahu is in the next house to Venus then your younger sibling can get married in this transit but your sibling can get health issues/marriage-related problems (misunderstanding) after marriage.

Make sure you recall what karma you performed from Jan 17 to June 17. You will experience the result in next 50 days.

Ju (Aries – retro) --> Rahu (Pisces – always retro) --> <-- Saturn (Aquarius – direct) -- Ketu (Capricorn [trine to virgo) – always retro) -->

Look at all for the planet’s alignment and let’s understand what’s going to happen in the next 50 days.

•  Saturn is in between Rahu and Ketu in the house of Sanchit Karma

• Ketu represents moksha and its trine to Capricorn (activated Prarabdha in Virgo)

• Rahu (head) towards Saturn creating all sorts of misunderstandings and hallucinations.

With all these, it looks like the results will be based on Prarabdha or Sanchit karma. In this situation, Jupiter the Jeeva could be the saving grace (provides free will) but he is retrograde till 31st Dec’23. So till then, we are going to experience the fruits of Prarabdha. What can we see – deaths, suffering from diseases, job loss, loss in business, cheating, divorce, etc., not all but some will get good fruits also (look at your Mercury placement and its association with other planets + AK/AMK condition)

Aries: One can enjoy: Natives can gain from a new avenue of income, one can get new business opportunities, get into new friendships or return to the old circle, all of sudden one will start taking care of him/herself more - especially face, a lot of work-related travel, change of work location, travel to a foreign land and start a new venture, promotion is on the card post-December, rise in status or position, those who are waiting for marriage then this could be the time, long waiting period can get over for childbirth, Good Bhagya for a younger sibling, father can start some new work or become more social, gain to the mother-in-law. There could be a second source of income (secretive).

Needs to be taken care: Danger to mother (Abdomen, shoulders, arm, throat), mother’s 1st younger sibling, dispute with maternal uncle/aunts, Grandmother might get hospitalised, spouse’s grandmother can suffer due to bad health, expenditure on luxury items, one might change the bed (expense), avoid getting into an illegitimate relationship which can lead to unwanted pregnancy and then abortion, someone in in-laws family can meet with accident, sudden mishap in the family, Take care of the abdominal area and digestive system (surgery might happen). Caution – Don’t get involved in secret relationships for pleasure (Aquarius is 4th from 8th – hidden desires may come home), it will impact your 5th house negatively.

Note: Please see the placement of natal Mars with Natal & transit Saturn + relationship between Mars dispositor and Saturn, If the position & relationship are good then you can expect good results.

Apart from this one needs to check yogas, other planet’s transit, progression Saturn, Jupiter, Rahu & Ketu, Dasha & associated Arudha padas.

E.g. If you have yoga for a government job and your natal Ju + Su/Ke and/or yog karaka planets forming a connection with transit Saturn, you can expect good news next year

Remedies: It’s not a good practice to give remedies without looking at the chart as it may backfire but all Aries people should chant the Hanuman mantra and Hanuman Chalisa every Tuesday and Saturday.
